How To Recruit Online Using The Internet

Back in 2014 I attended my first network marketing seminar on new age consumer habits.
The first thing I was told was, before making any decision or even think about making one 95% of us will go online to do 'research' or ‘look around’ first.
The speaker went on to show us that right now there are 1000s of people around the world on Google, Yahoo & Bing typing in;
"How to set up a home based business"
“Ways to make additional income"
“How can I make residual income”
… amongst loads of other things that would make them an ideal prospect for your network marketing opportunity.
I share other important lessons I learned at that seminar inside my marketing newsletter.
But for now, I’d like to focus on walking you through how you can start recruiting new reps and acquiring new customers online using the internet within the next 24 hours.
‘Old skool Network Marketing methods...
When I first started network marketing I struggled massively with recruiting.
My friends and family just weren't interested in;
Starting there own business, building a network, etc
Most of them got the concept of network marketing but just didn't feel it was for them.
I spent half my presentation trying to convince them why they needed the opportunity …
I got really frustrated with the constant no’s, awkward conversation and ultimately wasting my time that I turned to the Internet to find other ways to build my business.
After going through loads of information I came across the concept of attraction marketing. Which is basically using the internet to build my business and ultimately speak to only people who would be interested in my opportunity.
Unlike my friends and family these guys were openly looking for an opportunity like mine...
...So when I presented my opportunity as a solution to their problems my success rate was high, the conversation was a lot easier and I recruited motivated individuals rather then friends who just joined because I bugged them enough times.
Power of the internet...
There are two ways you can go about finding these ‘ideal prospects’
(1) Social Media Prospecting
First is go actively looking for them…
Internet forums, Facebook groups, Instagram post are littered with people reaching out for solutions, information and guidance that would make them ideal prospects for your opportunity.
Look through your Facebook & Instagram newsfeed for tell tell signs from friends who would be open to hearing about your opportunity and even your companies products.
For example, an interest in Gary Vaynerchuk might indicate an interest in entrepreneurship or diversified income streams.
An interest in CrossFit indicates an interest in health and wellness and that might resonate with your company’s products.
A repost or like of motivational quotes could be a sign of someone going though hard times and looking for a change.
(2) Attraction Marketing
Secondly, you can build a loyal following online and create a trusted brand where people will literally buy anything you recommend. This is the approach I take and recommend.
Google & Facebook now allows you to target people based on interest and searched terms so you can target people looking for exactly what you have to offer.
Using free advertising, Facebook fan pages, blogging, email blasts, sales funnels, etc..
Using this approach correctly you'll have interested prospects bombarding you with messages to join your team or buy your product.
I quickly learnt that not everyone was my prospect and looking for prospects in the ways above had a massive impact on my business.
Know, Like, Trust
Once you find these guys you just don’t hit them with your opportunity, that would be like being at a bar, spotting an attractive female smiling at you from the across the way, you walk over and ask her to come back to your place ….you would be lucky not to get slapped let alone a yes.
If you want to increase the chances of getting her back to your place you would have a chat, make her laugh, buy her a drink… you get my drift. Before you go ‘in for the kill’ you need to get her to know, like and trust you.
Its the same recruiting reps online, even though they showed interest in being open to your opportunity you still need to build a rapport with them.
The most effective way to do this is to provide them with helpful information around what they are looking for either by directly answering there questions or creating content(video,blog post,podcast) too answer it.
The latter is more effective for a number of reasons;
1. Relevant for others looking for similar information
2. You assume the teacher/educator role, therefore look more attractive to your prospect
3. Helps your prospect to know, like and trust you
When you continue to give them content around there interest point they’ll begin to know who you are through the content you put out, like you as you are giving them valuable content and trust as they now see you as an expert in your niche.
As an expert they’ell want your opinion/recommendation and this is where you will introduce your opportunity as a solution.
Where this gets interesting when you begin to automate this process…. imagine the process above happening on autopilot, 24/7 even when you sleep... everything from;
-Identifying the interested individuals
- Building rapport through relatable content
- Presenting your opportunity
-Finally getting an confirmation email once they join your team
All at a press of a button... I guarantee you this a lot simpler to set up then you think, but like anything else in business, this will take work and study.
